I've enjoyed my 11-cup Cuisinart food processor for years, but when i saw the Elite with 3 different sized bowls, I knew I wanted one. I cook a lot for family and friends, so I knew having three different bowls would be great. It's so easy to use. Others . . Wow, this is the best food processor ever! The three nested bowls, the powerful engine, and the great locking member make this one of their best products ever. Last update: 17/06/2011. I have used for years a Cuisinart Food Processor Pro Classic. Finally, use is a big word, since I use mainly the chopping blade (for cooking purees, salsas . . . ) The kneading blade is useful to me on occasion. The unit also came with a blade to cut 4mm (too thick for the chips, and not enough for anything else I cook, hence the neologism chips-chips that appeared often on our table and the suburbanization over the years) and a medium shredding blade (which are sometimes useful for grating carrots or cheese in quantity). In short, I sometimes wonder if, given the limited use that I did, this culinary juggernaut really deserved all the room he took in my closets . . . . The only catch: the price! On the site of Cuisinart, the blades are broken at more than $ 35 U. S. each, and 65 U. S. $ 70 in lots of 3. Definitely too expensive for my budget. And yet I am now the proud owner of an entire batch of slides, which save me from the tedious task of cutting the potatoes into french fries (I stopped being a purist, hell-bent on taking the knife to cut the day I became a mom), make me pretty julienne vegetables, crisp contrast to 2 mm . . . . Have I received as a gift? Have I won the lottery? Oh no! But as consumer magazines compulsive seasoned all out there on eBay. ca, I knew that sooner or later I would find what I wanted. For several weeks, so I watched the negotiation of lots of blades for my camera. I've seen from up to over U. S. $ 140 (for batches of 12 slides including in particular those that I had . . . and before shipping!) I've seen from a lot cheaper, but it lacked a systematic blades that I coveted.
